The fruit curd
The fruit curd is a spread or garnish for desserts, usually at lemon or orange flavour.
The ingredients are beated egg yolks, sugar, fruit juices and their zests. All those products are cooked at length together until they thicken, then let to cool down in order to shape a soft pastry, smooth and flavoured.
Lait Douceur de Normandie proposes only recently two original recipes of fruit curds : the traditional one with lemon and the most original and norman with apple.
The lemon curd
Famous on the other side of the Channel, the Lemon curd is perfect to make your lemon pastry or other original desserts but also in sweet and savoury recipes such as a duck breast fillet, to amaze your guests !!!
The apple curd
You will appreciate this recipe that has a nice taste of apples from Normandy, at breakfast time, on a slice of bread or on a tepid brioche. There is nothing for it but to eat !
